Gypsy Nomad Banjara Necklace from India
Rajasthani Banjara jewelry is a unique and vibrant style of traditional jewelry that originates from the Banjara community, a nomadic tribe from the Rajasthan region of India. Banjaras are known for their colorful and eclectic style, which is reflected in their jewelry. Here are some characteristics of Rajasthani Banjara necklace jewelry:
1. Colorful stones: Banjara jewelry is famous for its bold and vibrant use of stones like turquoise, carnelian, coral, lapis lazuli, and red lac. These stones are often paired with intricate metalwork to create a stunning contrast.
2. Intricate metalwork: Banjara jewelry is characterized by its delicate metalwork, often featuring intricate filigree, etching, and enamel work. The metal used is usually gold or silver, with a reddish hue due to the presence of copper.
3. Unconventional designs: Banjara jewelry is known for its unconventional designs, which often blend traditional Rajasthani motifs with modern twists. You'll find unique combinations of geometric patterns, floral designs, and animal motifs.
4. Layering: Banjara women are known for layering multiple pieces of jewelry to create a statement look. This includes necklaces, chokers, and earrings that are layered to create a bold, eye-catching effect.
5. Textured finishes: Banjara jewelry often features textured finishes like rough-hewn stones, matte metalwork, and irregularly shaped beads. This adds to the overall rugged charm of the jewelry.
6. Symbolism: Each piece of Banjara jewelry often carries symbolic significance, reflecting the wearer's social status, marital status, or profession.
Some popular types of Rajasthani Banjara necklaces include:
1. Kamarbandh: A long chain with a pendant featuring a geometric pattern or a stone.
2. Choker: A close-fitting necklace with intricate metalwork or stone settings.
3. Torque: A chunky necklace with a bold design featuring stones or metalwork.
4. Tassel necklace: A long necklace featuring tassels made from beads, threads, or yarn.
If you're looking to add some Rajasthani flair to your jewelry collection, consider the following tips:
1. Pair bold colors with earthy tones to balance out the look.
2. Mix and match different textures and materials to add depth to your outfit.
3. Don't be afraid to experiment with layering different pieces to create a unique look.
Remember, Rajasthani Banjara jewelry is all about embracing the beauty of imperfection and making a statement with your style!

About Us
Welcome to nepalagora / everydaybags (eBay ID since 2003)
My father use to run this business in the 70's and he always insists to sale only genuine products or to be informed truth to the buyer. It is important to let the buyer know exactly what they are paying for.
He has paved the path for me to do better as I can be, being loyal and honest businessman. Every weekend I started selling in the Flea Market in New York. In 2003 I decided to run the business online. I started listing in the free classified pages. As I started to sell. I thought to try eBay to sale in 2003. Since then I have been selling on eBay.
I’m doing my best to take my business in the next level with the unconditional support from my loyal buyers. As I know without your support and help I will not be able to get here. You all are my asset and I humbly thank to all the buyers who have had become my friends and advisors.
I am very happy to get associated in this business as these handcrafted items are very beautiful, enchanting and are worn, passed and kept for a long time to come.
I'm very thankful to my father for showing me the way to appreciate the handmade products and to advertise as I can to let the whole world know to give preference to handmade products too.
Now I’m associated with small home based business to uplift there life selling their products having fraction of profits. These hardworking makers come from remote area looking for a better future for their children and for themselves. Life is hard out here if not taken seriously for the migrators.
As I get products directly from the maker because of that I’m being able to compete with other suppliers. There is no middle person to share the profit.
I look forward to do the business with you.
Thank you!!
